From 2019 through mid-2025, 1,562 horses were euthanized at Camarero Racetrack in Puerto Rico. This dataset documents each of those deaths: the horse, the date, the cause, and how recently it had last raced. It is cross-referenced against 20 years of Puerto Rico racing records, covering the careers of more than 11,000 horses who ran at the island's only active thoroughbred track.

The data comes from official racetrack records, Jockey Club registration files, and Equibase performance histories. It has been translated, standardized, and verified where possible. 374 records carry flags for missing or uncertain information, and those flags are preserved.

This is not a complete picture. It is the most complete picture currently available.
